Day
02: Morning drive to Kappad. This historic beach
locally known as Kappakadavu is 16 kms From Culicut. This
is the place where the Portuguese navigator Vasco Da Gama
landed in 1498. Check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit at
Beypur- one of the ancient ports of Kerala. The boat building
yard here is famous for the construction of the Uru or country
craft which is used to sail to Gulf countries with heavy
luggage. The technique of this boat building is now available
with few families. It is also a major fishing harbour. Rest
of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day
04: Vythiri day at leisure to enjoy the ecology
and nature at its best. Overnight at Vythiri Resort.
Day
08: Morning drive to Kumarakom (90 kms/ 2 hrs)
and check in to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to
enjoy nature. Overnight at the hotel.
Day
12: Morning drive to Neyyar (30 kms/ 1 hr). Neyyar
is situated at the base of the forest, Agastyarkoodam where
Hindu saint Agasthya spent his life in meditation. This
area has rich flora and fauna with lots of medicinal plants
and orchids. The Ashram has a world famous Yoga center.
Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy nature and trekking.
Overnight at Neyyar.
